Accessibility Statement

RateLogiq targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. This statement describes what has been done, what is known to fall short, and how to report a problem.

Our commitment

Borrowers who are self-employed, own rental property or hold home equity include people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification and reduced-motion settings. This site is built to work for them. The target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, and every new page and feature is checked against that standard before it is published.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML. Pages use headings in order, landmarks for navigation and main content, lists for lists, and real buttons and links rather than styled elements that only look like them.

  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element, including menus, calculators and the contact form, can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a skip link to the main content.

  • Visible focus states. The element that has keyboard focus is clearly outlined at all times. Focus is never hidden for the sake of appearance.

  • Reduced motion. Animations and transitions are minimized or removed when your system requests reduced motion.

  • Color and contrast. Text and interface colors are checked against the WCAG contrast thresholds in both light and dark themes, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.

  • Text alternatives. Informative images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. Calculator results are exposed as text, not only as visuals.

  • Forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are described in text next to the field and announced to assistive technology.

  • Resizable and responsive text. Pages reflow at high zoom levels and with larger system text without loss of content or function.

  • Testing. Automated checks run on every build, and pages are tested by hand with keyboard-only navigation and with screen readers on desktop and mobile.

Known limitations

Some parts of the experience depend on third parties, and their accessibility is outside our direct control:

  • The automated security check on the contact form is a third-party widget. It is configured to run without a visible challenge wherever possible, but when a challenge appears it is provided by the vendor and may not meet every WCAG criterion. If it blocks you, use the alternative contact route below.
  • Embedded third-party content, such as maps or scheduling tools, may not fully conform. We limit such embeds and note this where they appear.
  • Documents provided by lenders or other companies during a loan process are produced by those companies and may not be accessible. Ask us for help reading any document you receive.

If you find an issue not listed here, we want to know about it.

How to report a problem

Report accessibility barriers through the Contact page. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, the browser and assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We read every report, respond as quickly as we can, and treat accessibility problems as defects to be fixed rather than requests to be considered.

If the contact form itself is the barrier, the Contact page lists other ways to reach the practice, and a person will help you complete your request.

Technical details

This site is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and browser zoom. Core content is readable without JavaScript. Calculators require JavaScript to run but describe their inputs and results in text.
